b. For the special section (classes VI–VIII):
--> Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates appearing in the final year of Diploma in Primary Education (D.El.Ed.) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent are also eligible.
--> Or Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 45% and must have completed or be in the final year of a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) ., as per NCTE Rules 2002 .
