Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (12th standard) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
Age Limit:
The age limit for SSC CHSL is usually between 18 and 27 years. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
Tiers of Examination:
The SSC CHSL examination is conducted in three tiers:
Tier-III: Typing Test/Skill Test
Examination Pattern: Tier-I consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while Tier-II is a descriptive paper where candidates have to write essays, letters, or applications. Tier-III involves skill tests or typing tests, depending on the post applied for.
Selection Process:
Candidates are required to clear all three tiers of the examination to be considered for selection. The final merit is prepared based on the candidate's performance in Tier-I and Tier-II examinations. Tier-III is qualifying in nature.
