FOREST GUARD

The primary objective of the JKSSB Forest Guard examination is to select qualified candidates to fill vacancies for the position of Forest Guard, which involves protecting and conserving forests, wildlife, and natural resources.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (12th standard) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, candidates may be required to meet specific physical standards and possess relevant certifications as per the requirements of the Forest Guard position.

Selection Process:

The selection process typically involves multiple stages, including a written examination, physical fitness test, document verification, and sometimes an interview. Candidates need to qualify each stage to progress to the next stage of the selection process.

Syllabus and Examination Pattern:

The written examination consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering subjects such as General Knowledge, Mathematics, Science, and Environmental Studies. The syllabus may also include topics related to forestry, wildlife conservation, and forest laws and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

Forest Guards are responsible for protecting and conserving forests and wildlife, preventing unauthorized activities such as poaching and illegal logging, and assisting in forest management and conservation efforts. They patrol forest areas, monitor wildlife habitats, extinguish forest fires, and educate the public about forest conservation and environmental awareness.
